Hi Marc,

Many thanks to you and the other members of “Second Wind” for your wonderful performance at the OLLI Volunteer Luncheon yesterday.  Every number you did was amazingly appropriate to the occasion and the audience.  You got us up and moving around and singing and very happy.  I look forward to hearing you perform again and, if it is alright with you, would recommend you for other events.

Note to Second Wind for Belmont Heights Art Association Artists' Reception, Viento y Agua, October 2, 2015:

"Thanks, Second Wind.  The music was perfect.  You added so much to the event."

"A special highlight was the music of the Belmont Heights group Second Wind, made up of Marc and Pattie Davidson and David Noferi.  Their blend of jazz, folk, country, and standards hit the right note." (Belmont Heights Community Association, Fall 2015)

Hi Marc,

Thanks so much for participating in and coordinating the music for the 3rd annual Art In The Park. I hope you participate next July 2015. I really appreciate Second Wind and Per Se for being part of this event. The music was really great, and much enjoyed.  It added a lot to our event.
Friends of Bixby Park truly appreciates the donation of your time and talent to play music for our event that supports the restoration and preservation of historic Bixby Park.  I've attached a photos for you.

* All the best with Music In The Park!

Center Stage Theater and Speaking of Stories: From the Page to the Stage hosted the 26th annual Santa Barbara French Festival on Saturday at Oak Park. The festival compliments Bastille Day, or French National Day, which commemorates the beginning of the French Revolution on July 14.

Attendees enjoyed live music from a variety of groups. Second Wind, a four-piece ensemble that included a vintage accordion, dabbled in both French and American classics, ranging from the 1930s to today.

Hi Marc,
I wanted to thank you all for another great set at Relay for Life of Long Beach.  We always love having you all play and entertaining our Relayers.
Thanks much,

Hello Marc, Tom, Dave, and Pattie,

THANK YOU so much for your fabulous performance at
Art In The Park. Everyone throughly enjoyed your music. There's a photo in the Gazette today of your band with a couple dancing!!!
Claudia Schou, president of Friends of Bixby Park, will be in touch with you. She loved your music and has some ideas for hiring your band for park events:)
I hope you will consider performing again next year. Perhaps next year 11:00 - 2:00 for performance time, or sharing time with other performers. In 2014, Art In The Park will be in July as it was the year before.
I've attached some event photos.

"Yes, on Second Wind... everything.  They are wonderful.  And what pleasure they bring. I love it when artists bring not only pleasure to themselves but to others.  They have the formula.  Fantastic."

Hey SW! Well done tonight! Patricia and Phyllis had only heard you a couple of times before and were sooooooooooo taken with tonight's show! GREAT song selection and every one really well played. They left beaming and vowing to catch more live music more often.

So woo hoo! Many thanks to each one of you individually and collectively!

Unite for Education Rally, Wilson High School, Long Beach, CA, March 4, 2010:  "As an organizer of the recent event attended by 2,500, this band played a key role in the success of our event."  Second Wind provided an extremely professional and entertaining show.  They donated their time to our not for profit event...We heard fantastic reviews from those who attended.  They more than held their own with both a large crowd and with another musician, Tom Morello:  The Nightwatchman."

Hey, Marc, Pattie and the guys--I can't thank you enough for coming out to perform yesterday. Again, so sorry about the lack of audience. This was their first year and they've learned a lot and had really positive feedback from everybody involved. And everybody at ASD loved your music and hope you can come back and play at an upcoming event. You are so generous with your time and talent. I so thank you. There are some board members who can contribute money and financial expertise. One of the few things I can offer is my incredibly talented friends. Again, heartfelt thanks.

"Marc, Pattie and David played a full concert at the Found last June, absolutely delighting a full house. They are not only skilled musicians, but consummate professionals, who arrive on time, bring all of the necessary gear, and set up quickly and smoothly. They use their mastery of acoustic guitar, bass, banjo and accordion to create an eclectic repertoire of music ranging from original pieces to folk, bluegrass, country, pop, jazz, and even French and Mexican standards, all beautifully and authentically performed. They also have a great on-stage demeanor, punctuating songs with brief stories about their origins that are both educational and very enjoyable.

When the Found took on the huge undertaking of putting together a fundraiser for Doctors Without Borders' Haiti relief effort just four days after the earthquake, Second Wind was one of the first groups to step up and volunteer for this important cause, once again eliciting an incredible response from a standing-room-only crowd. Thanks to them, and the other generous artists who volunteered their time that night, we were able to raise $4,000 for DWB is a single, highly enjoyable evening."

"Glad to hear you like the mixes!  I had a great time working with you and learned a lot in the process, and hope you had just as much fun as I did.  When my mom heard me mixing "Hey Good Lookin'", it took her back to great memories of growing up on a farm in Ohio and riding on the tractor with her dad (who died before I was born) and singing during the day, it was really touching.  I'll be sending a CD to my grandma who still lives on that farmhouse, I think she'd really enjoy it.  Just further proof that "Songs Your Mother Should Know" rings true - across two generations!"
