The song "Come Home Again" came together reflecting on a life-learning moment for my son (ie. girl breaks up with boy...).  It evolved into my own thoughts always second-guessing what alternatives one might have taken in life.  Lets just say I am very happy and blessed with the "road" I travelled!

Lyrics

COME HOME AGAIN   © Marc N. Davidson 2009

Walk down that road feeling good again,
Don’t think of what you should have been;
Take off your shoes,  feel the ground, my friend,
Know where you’ve been, come on home again.

Just like a day when you, get up and say,
Nothing seems new that is coming my way.
But just like a thread on an old open sleeve,
Its got places its been, through the cotton and tweed.

Walk down that road feeling good again,
Don’t think of what you should have been;
Take off your shoes,  feel the ground, my friend,
Know where you’ve been, come on home again.

Old makes me see what I happen to need,
Some reassurance in things we believe;
I’m not sayin’ that I’ve run out of gas,
My foot’s on the pedal, I’m just tryin’ to pass.

Walk down that road feeling good again,
Don’t think of what you should have been;
Take off your shoes, feel the ground, my friend,
Know where you’ve been, come on home again.
